Built from the work
I spent twenty years in accounting, sales compensation, and RevOps. At fourteen companies, I watched ordinary people and pay changes travel through separate systems—and get checked too late.
OrgDrift is the independent check I wanted when the answer mattered.

Ken Lannon · Founder, OrgDrift
The founder
I started as a welder. Six years in the heat made one thing clear: I needed a career my body could carry. A Compliance Technician role in high tech gave me an opening.
Then the dot-com crash arrived. I was laid off with no degree and no obvious plan. My dad gave me one piece of advice:
“Attack what scares you most. Conquer it, and be free of the weight.”
For me, that was college. I earned an accounting degree and started in the field in 2005. The work took me through public accounting, FP&A at EMC, HR compensation, and global sales compensation at CyberArk.
One question under different logos
Fourteen companies. Ten eventually closed, merged, or were acquired. The names changed, but the work kept leading back to the same gap: one team changed a record, another system did not reflect it, and someone had to find out before the next run.
These were the questions that kept coming back:
Why is this rep coded for an annual bonus when their whole team is on commission?
Why was this person promoted last month, but the commission system is still paying their old rate?
Why did a change in the HR system not make it to the commission system?
I built a compensation verification check that cut one recurring manual review by 98%. The need was never more alerts. It was a sober answer: do the records agree, and what does the evidence say?
The product took shape
I built a verification workflow and showed it to a SOX director. She liked the work, then asked the question that mattered:
“Who is making sure the automation does not create gaps or miss data?”SOX Director, 2024
She was right. The check itself had to be checked. A system should not be the only judge of its own records. OrgDrift gives teams an independent view of source-system differences, the controls run, and the evidence behind them.
Why OrgDrift exists
OrgDrift compares HR and payroll exports, identifies records that disagree, and gives the owner a report to review. It does not change a source system. People decide what to correct.

See the records, checks, coverage, and any work the assessment could not test.
Review the difference with the right team before anything changes in a source system.
